Privacy Policy

This page explains what Shield Maidens of Roe collects when you visit shieldmaidensofroe.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

What you send us. We collect only what you type into a form:

• your name and email address when you sign up for the newsletter or the bonus content
• your answers when you apply to a reader program (for example the books you have read, how you review, or why you want to join)
• your name, email address, subject and message when you use the contact form

What happens automatically. Our website host keeps ordinary server records (such as your network address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. To block spam, our forms also check how often a form is sent from the same address; we do not add that to your contact record.

How we use it

We use what you send to do the thing you asked for: send the newsletter or the bonus content you signed up for, run the reader programs (ARC, Beta, and Street Team applications), and reply to your message. We also keep the records we need to protect the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade our email list.

Who handles it

• Our email system. Form answers are stored in our own email system, which also sends our emails. It keeps your contact record and the lists you joined.
• Our website host. The site is hosted by Vercel, which serves the pages and keeps the server records described above.
• A payment processor, if we sell ebooks. The shop is coming soon. Before anything is sold, this page will be updated to name the payment processor and what it receives.

We share your information with others only when the law requires it or to protect the site from abuse.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own, and it does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies or scripts. If a page links to or embeds something from another company (for example a video or a social profile), that company may set its own cookies when you use it; their policies apply there.

Email

Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you by writing to hello@shieldmaidensofroe.com. We will stop emailing you right away.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to hello@shieldmaidensofroe.com from the address you used on the site. We keep your information for as long as you are on a list or taking part in a program, and we delete it when you ask.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date below.
